Connectivity Engineer - Line 3 Function 2 Level 3
(Resolve complex network problems, operate test equipment/network simulators
Perform site surveys, system installations, sustainment of a network.
Perform connectivity engineering services to pre and post deployment tests.
 Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements
 Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput.
(Validate new and existing dataflow and data formats.
(Lead large efforts of dynamic requirements and scale.
Work with engineers, customers, and teams to refine requirements.
Coordinate with appropriate dataflow organizations and understand potential adverse impacts on system-wide dataflow.
Perform security testing and design evaluations.
 Employ standards to configure the interconnects between networks
Draft technical requirements, CM and planning documentation.
Perform QC, QA, and CM services.
Design, configure, deploy, test, and maintain numerous types of network devices, interfaces, and technologies
Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
Configure and optimize the network to connect front and back-end components.
Coordinate to ensure proper mission operations with minimal down time.
Facilitate the implementation of high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant networks.
Qualifications
Twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
(Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university  
(Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M
(CCNP certification or higher, or 3 additional years of network design, implementation, troubleshooting, configuring experience.
ITIL® V3 Foundations

Computer Network Operations
(U) Twelve (12) years of experience in Networking (WAN/CAN/DCN/NETSEC).  
(U) Seven (7) years of experience in operations and maintenance of NSANet and other IC secure WAN.  
(U) Experience in operation and maintenance of routed LAN/CAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN networks.  
(U) Three (3) years of experience operating and maintaining service provider MPLS WANs.  
(U) Three (3) years of experience troubleshooting NSANet issues.  
(U) One (1) year experience operating and maintaining Agency external (1P, 2P, etc.) boundaries (peering points).  
Service Industry
(U) Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with Communications Systems, Industry Best Practices  
(U) Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with NSA – System Network Attack Center (SNAC) guide.  
(U) Five (5) years of demonstrated experience DOD – Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)  
SIGINT
(U) Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with Dataflow Analysis: SIGINT Front End Processor Interfaces to Product Repositories.  Understanding of one or more SIGINT Collection systems and the dataflows (types of transfer protocols being utilized, backend repositories, analyst access points, etc.)  
(U) Five (5) years of demonstrated experience with Dataflow Analysis: Administrative Network Services (i.e. telephony, office automation, etc.)  Understanding the dataflow and packet interaction with client and servers.
