Description:
-Work across multiple hosting platforms supporting Linux VMs. This position allows you to learn about the product as well as dive deep into area of VM Management/DevOps.Essential

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Server Certificate life cycle, monitoring VM health status, update software on VMs (manually and through YUM repos), making sure VMs satisfy latest security requirements
• Monitoring and managing production Linux VMs - stand-alone VMs and those integrated in a Kubernetes cluster – across multiple hosting platforms
• Maintain Ansible playbooks to push out changes to VMs and monitor the Kubernetes clusters through Rancher or Kubernetes commands to ensure the clusters nodes and pods are healthy and running smooth. Administer, secure, and maintain Linux virtual machines (RHEL 8/9) across multiple cloud platforms (OpenStack, VMware, AWS)
• Troubleshoot production Linux VMs and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring node and pod health through Rancher or Kubernetes
• Support Apache NiFi deployments—performing configuration updates, monitoring dataflows, and resolving connectivity or resource-related issues
• Manage the full certificate lifecycle (server and PKI), ensuring systems meet current security and compliance standards (STIG/SSP)
• Perform software updates, patching, and system hardening through YUM and enterprise repositories
• Work directly with development teams and end users to deliver operational support ranging from basic configuration changes to complex cluster builds
*Document and track requirements and assist in driving them to completion.


Required:
•In-depth knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework)
- RMF provides a structured yet flexible approach for determining the appropriate level of risk mitigation needed to protect information systems, information, and infrastructure from serious treats.
•Strong leadership skills
•Experience with Scrum/Agile teams to include managing teams
•Experience with Atlassian JIRA and confluence, including the decomposition of requirements into Epics and team tasks

•Nice to have experience creating JIRA dashboards to manage agile teams and report programmatic metrics
•Define, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures to meet business objectives.
•Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvements.
•Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements
.•Ensure in compliance with customer and company proposed standards.
•Work with customer and developers in integration of new and existing business processes.
•Use best practices to carry out business process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities.
•Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks.
•Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements.
•Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs.
•Execute projects for ongoing business improvements.
 

Salary varies based on Years of experience: $171,000-$188,300
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
