Application Engineer III!
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required

BS in technical field + 12 years' experience OR
High School + 16 years' experience

Description:

 •Perform Linux server system administration functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
•Monitoring and patching/upgrades to Linux servers and AWS instances.
•Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
•Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
•Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
•Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
•Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
•Document inventory changes.

Required:
•Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux server administration experience (within the last 3 years).
•Proficient with AWS. Minimum of 1 year of AWS experience (within the last year).
•Experience with either Ansible or Salt.
•Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances.
•Security + cert
Desired:
Should have working knowledge, able to use and or support, with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools:
•Linux servers
•AWS
•Ansible, Salt
•Docker, Kubernetes
•Elasticsearch, Splunk
•Scripting (bash, Python)

Salary varies based on Years of experience: $130,000-$160,000
A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
